Making an Appointment
Students need to schedule an appointment to be seen. There are no walk-in sessions offered. However, emergency and urgent appointments are available throughout the day. Tell the receptionist if you need to be seen immediately and we will make every effort to ensure you will be seen the same day you call. Please call as early in the day as possible to schedule an urgent or emergency appointment. A counseling session is typically scheduled for 45-50 minutes. If it is a student's first time being seen, they will need to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time in order to complete the necessary paperwork.
How to Make an Appointment
Appointments may be made by calling (989)774-3381, or by stopping by the Counseling Center in 102 Foust Hall between the hours of 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. or between 1:00pm - 5:00pm.
Fees
None for individual or group counseling. A modest fee is charged for some testing and interest inventories.
